Job Purpose:
Working in an aerospace environment supervising a small department using single die/stroke both mechanical and hydraulic presses, set-up experience is required. Must be able to place tools in die sets and into presses as some hand press work is involved. Perform miscellaneous production duties including supervising a crew, working to and the scheduling of jobs to make product to customer due dates. Should be mechanically inclined and able to operate in an ever-changing environment so flexibility is necessary. Must have a high level of attention to detail to ensure the quality of your work is being flowed throughout your department. From ISO 9001, AS9100 and Customer specifications are being followed to support management in producing quality parts per customer specifications, blueprints and travelers.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure completion is in line with Quality Procedures and Work Instructions.
Ensure all batch documentation and supporting records completed correctly and on time, inputted into JobBO5S, to ensure on time delivery.
- Ensure traceability to raw material and traveler is controlled.
- Contribute to and support the training requirements of your team and new staff in the performance of their tasks.
- Report non-compliance situations that arise within your areas of responsibility to the Quality Manager and assist in subsequent CAPA activities.
- Ensure all manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures are maintained current and in a state of compliance.
- Ensure production areas and equipment maintained in compliance with preventative maintenance cards and FOD policies.
- Identify and assist in activities associate with implementing process improvements.
- Observe and comply with ISO 9001, AS9100 and customer requirements.
- Observe and comply with company SOP's, Safety and lock out / tag out policies and participates in yearly audits.
- Undertake any other duties which may be requested by the President or Quality Manager for which training will be provided and understood.
Participate in internal housekeeping inspections, quality and client audits.
- Ensure all client information is kept confidential and not disclosed to unapproved parties or persons per
ITAR
Skills and Experience.
- Knowledge of Presses
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes with the ability to read travelers.
- Knowledge of aerospace industry helpful, but not required.
- Knowledge of measurement tools; calipers/verniers, pi tapes, micrometers, drop indicators, helpful
- Knowledge of blueprints, helpful.
- Pay close attention to detail and tolerances.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail, keeping a logical and analytical mind-set.
- Must have a steady hand.
- Be able to work without supervision machining parts.
- Be able to manufacture good and accurate quantities.
- Good problem solving skills with strong verbal and written communications.
- Competent in basic computer operation.
- Have a willingness to learn and be a team player.
- Must work 40 hours a week but be flexible (as overtime may be required).
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have good attendance with a great attitude ready to work.
- Must be able to read and write English.
$28/Hr - $32/Hr (DOE)
Current Hours for shop floor employees are as follows:
Monday — Thursday, 6:00AM-3:30PM
Friday, 6:00AM-10:00AM (for the time being)
