Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for warehouse manager at a small distribution warehouse in New Milford CT. The warehouse manager is a hands-on position that works independently and handles all aspects of the operation. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
The schedule is 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $60,000-$65,000 a year, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate with factory to plan inventory needs
- Prepare and coordinate import documentation
- Interface with import broker and logistics providers
- Receive shipments, unload with forklift, and organize stock in the warehouse
- Provide customer service and accept purchase orders
- Prepare shipments for both truck and UPS
- Coordinate trucking documentation, pickups and load
- Make bank deposits
- Supervise bookkeeper to ensure proper order entry, cash flow needs, vendor payments, online banking, customer communication, etc.
- Maintain clean work environment
- Other duties as needed
Job Requirements:
- Experience with international logistics and production planning
- Warehouse management experience
- Financial management experience
- Excellent computer skills; experience with shipping software
- Experience communicating with customers
- Material handling experience, including using forklifts
- Able to work independently and often alone
- Able to work Saturdays if needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
