Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a receiving clerk position at a company in New Milford, CT. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The hours are 8:15 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $17-$18 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Unload inbound shipments
- Check freight bills and packing slips to verify shipment
- Time and date stamp all receipts
- Write receiving record for each receipt
- Assign proper storage location using computer system
- Send completed receiving records to inventory coordinators
- Place all new shipments received in quarantine area until posted in inventory
- Bar code and locate shipments received in assigned location in warehouse
- Keep receiving dock clean and organized
- Distribute other packages and supplies to appropriate departments
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Warehouse experience
- Able to use material handling equipment
- Able to safely handle hazardous material
- Computer skills
- Able to read and write in English
- Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Able to handle physical aspects of job, including some heavy lifting
- High school diploma or GED
