A well known appliance company in Bridgeport is looking to hire a full time warehouse dispatcher.
The Warehouse Dispatcher plays a critical role in coordinating daily shipping, receiving, and delivery operations. This position ensures efficient scheduling of drivers, timely dispatching of orders, accurate communication with warehouse staff, and exceptional customer service. The Warehouse Dispatcher helps maintain smooth warehouse workflow while supporting safety, accuracy, and on-time performance.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and schedule outbound deliveries and inbound shipments
Dispatch drivers and provide route assignments, delivery instructions, and updated schedules
Monitor delivery progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines
Serve as primary point of contact between drivers, warehouse staff, and customers
Track shipments, update systems, and maintain accurate dispatch records
Ensure proper documentation including manifests, bills of lading, and delivery confirmations
Resolve delivery issues, delays, or discrepancies promptly and professionally
Support inventory control, order accuracy, and shipping compliance
Maintain communication logs, reports, and operational records
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in dispatching, warehousing, logistics, or transportation required
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and shipping processes
Familiarity with dispatch or logistics software
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle time-sensitive tasks
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, data entry)
Work Environment & Schedule
Hour are Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm.
