Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a warehouse position at a company in Newtown, CT. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The hours are 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $19 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the receipt, storage and organization of goods in the warehouse
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for shipment
- Maintain an accurate inventory of goods and materials, conducting stock counts as needed
- Help with loading and unloading of trucks when deliveries arrive or are dispatched
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organization according to company standards
- Perform other warehouse tasks as assigned, including product sorting, labeling, weekly/monthly inventory, and lot code tracking
Job Requirements:
- Warehouse experience; forklift certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to work holidays and weekends, as needed
- Able to stand, walk and lift to 50 pounds regularly
- Able to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
