Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a senior quality engineer position at a manufacturing company in New Milford CT. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
The senior quality engineer is responsible for leading quality initiatives within a manufacturing environment to ensure products and processes meet internal standards, customer requirements and regulatory expectations.
The hours are 8 am.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday with some flexibility. The salary is $75,000-$85,000 a year, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead quality planning and improvement activities for manufacturing processes
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA, 8D)
- Analyze quality data and trends using statistical process control and other statistical tools
- Support new product introductions (PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP/APQP)
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF, AS9100, etc.)
- Lead internal audits and support customer and regulatory audits
- Investigate customer complaints and coordinate effective resolutions
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
- Support supplier quality activities as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- 5 or more years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, SPC, PPAP, DOE, Lean/Six Sigma)
- Experience with quality management systems and audits
- Proven problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
- CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma certification strongly preferred
- Able to pass pre-employment screenings
