SANITATION WORKER
2nd Shift: 4pm – midnight
Pays $17.00 hourly
JOB DESCRIPTION
Complete pick-up of debris from the floor and walls and remove all waste. Wash and sanitize production area using chemicals and equipment according to USDA guidelines and chemical instructions. Responsible for the cleaning of machines, parts and equipment, tables and other things and reassembly of the production room in a timely manner so that production is not impacted. Follow all safety procedures, including lock out, tag out protocol. Perform inspection of area of responsibility ensuring the area is cleaned and will pass daily pre-operational inspection including auxiliary areas.

Essential Functions
- Mix sanitation chemicals according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Operate sanitation equipment to sanitize the production facility according to USDA guidelines. All equipment is to be sanitized last, at 200 - 400 ppm. Equipment and cleaned area must pass Quality Assurance pre-operational inspection before production.
- Use proper equipment safely to clean: brushes, hoses, chemicals, squeegees, etc.
- Dress properly using the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like safety glasses, gloves, rubber boots, aprons.
- Trained on lock-out, tag-out procedures for each machine of responsibility. When in doubt, discuss with supervisor.
- Report all safety concerns to the manager in charge of sanitation. Do not operate any equipment that is not locked or tagged out.
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner. Take corrective action immediately with unsafe conditions to maintain Safety Program goals to ensure a safe working environment.
- Good attendance and reporting to work on-time is required to do this job satisfactorily.
