TITLE: QUALITY COORDINATOR
JOB SUMMARY: The Quality Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of product quality, quality logs, calibration logs, and ISO9001:2015 implementation and auditing.
INTERACTION WITH: All Departments
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain data bases, records and logs in accordance with ISO standards
- Coordinate/Assist with incoming inspections of raw material, purchased parts and new part approvals
- Perform technical analyses to eliminate variation in our processes
- Perform execution of 1st Piece and 1st Article inspections
- Perform In-Process random inspections
- Perform process capability studies
- Verify proper calibration and operation of all measuring equipment and meters and maintains calibration logs
- Performs Data Collection, SPC, PFMEA, Inspection Plans, Flow Plans, and PPAP
- Manages and resolves issues related to nonconforming product
- Responds to and performs root cause analysis and corrective action for all quality complaints or concerns
- Trainer for ISO9001:2015 and product quality requirements
- Works with management in preparation of Management Review
- Inspect and repack damaged product from Finish Goods area
- Move repacked and reworked product to Finish Goods area
- Help with 100% inspection of suspect product
- Perform product audits on floor and finished goods areas
- Identify opportunities for quality improvements
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and reporting results of internal audits to management
- Receive and Process RMA Product in Epicor
- Supply information about RMA’s to customer service and finance departments about returned RMA’s Update inventory status and cycling of materials (Q.C. Hold, RTV, Rework, etc.)
- Other functions as required and assigned by supervisor
- Write/Edit Procedures, Work Instructions, and Quality-related articles as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years experience or equivalent work experience in the inspection and/or quality profession
- Good understanding of inspection methods and techniques and understanding and implementation of receiving goods sampling, auditing techniques
- Able to read and understand mechanical drawings
- Detailed understanding of an MRP system (Epicor a.k.a. as Kinetic knowledge preferred).
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Some lifting required
- Experience with microscopes and other vision enhancing techniques
- Able to to climb and descend multiple flights of stairs per day (operations on 3 levels)
