Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a quality control inspector position at an electronics manufacturing company in Brookfield, CT. The position inspects electronic soldering and circuit board assembly workmanship.
The hours are 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $18-$22 an hour, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect components, fabricated parts and assemblies at receiving, in-process and final inspection
- Ensure quality practices and procedures are implemented and followed
- Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection and quality standards
- Maintain inspection records and understand all aspects of electronic assembly of printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies, cable assemblies, and box build assemblies
- Work with production technicians and assemblers to ensure procedures are understood and followed
- Participate in root cause and corrective action quality initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 2 or more years of related work experience
- Working experience in the manufacturing of electronic circuit board assemblies in an ISO 9001/AS 9100 environment
- Working knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) and cable assemblies
- Working knowledge of electronic components
- Able to read polarity markings, documented work instructions, blueprints/drawing
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Strong visual acuity
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience using documented work instructions
- Strong understanding of IPC-A-610 / 620 and/or certification a plus
- Working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 quality systems a plus
- Able to work in a team environment
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
