Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a quality assurance technician position on the second shift at a company in Newtown, CT. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The hours are 4 p.m.-2 a.m.., Monday-Friday. Training may be required on the first shift. The salary is $19-$21 an hour, based on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with standards
- Document issues, defects and out of compliance items with trends
- Recommend improvements to quality assurance processes as experience in the production environment grows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including but not limited to training, correcting, completing and assisting in production tasks
- Detail documentation of inspections and testing results through quality checks on the production line (cream cheese, butter and bagel production); including, but not limited to: weight checks, labeling accuracy, lot code traceability, trending defects, data logging per shift/day
- Work alongside the quality assurance manager to ensure all products reach retail, and consumers at the highest quality, and food safety standard possible
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Experience in food manufacturing/retail establishments, and working with cross functional teams
- Food safety, HACCP, and quality assurance experience is highly desirable
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
- Able to work flexible hours, overtime and weekends as needed
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Able to work well under pressure
- Able to pass pre-employment screenings
