Title: Procurement and Planning Officer
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year
Location: Fairfield County, CT
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively plan material purchases based on usage patterns, historical data, and cash flow considerations.
- Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies, including the use of blanket purchase orders to streamline procurement.
- Translate strategic demand forecasts from senior leadership and marketing into material requirements aligned with production planning.
- Generate purchase requisitions for buyers.
- Process outside service orders as required.
- Participate actively as a member of the inventory control team.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Source, issue, monitor, and expedite purchase orders and ensure timely receiving.
- Monitor and report on supplier on-time delivery performance.
- Manage and maintain hardware Kanban systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the company.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
- 3–5 years in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate ERP systems.
