Driver-Danbury
Hamilton Connections is seeking drivers for a company in Danbury, CT. Candidates with experience driving box trucks and making deliveries are encouraged to apply. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The hours are 6 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The pay is $21 an hour.4
Job Responsibilities:
- Make local deliveries throughout the day as needed
- Receive the morning transfer truck and help unload products to the branch’s warehouse area
- Sort and place products on racks, shelves, or in bins in the appropriate areas
- Prepare the company truck by loading the truck, securing items, and verifying the accuracy of paperwork for delivery
- Drive company box truck to deliver orders to customers or company branches; unload products at destination
- Follow route and delivery protocols
- Comply with all DOT and company safety standards and regulations
- Assist in the warehouse with preparing transfer orders as needed
- Deliver outstanding customer service and build professional relationships by treating customers and colleagues in a friendly and respectful manner
- Maintain a clean driving record
Job Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- At least 2 years of related work experience
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Have a valid DOT medical card or able to obtain one if hired (company paid)
- Clean driving record
- Background in warehouse operations and logistics a plus
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
- A positive attitude, being a good team player, and maintaining good attendance
