Hamilton Connections is looking for a branch driver for a distributor of plumbing, HVAC and piping products in Danbury, CT. The branch driver drives a box truck to delivery products to customers and company branches. Candidates must have a clean driving record. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The hours are 6 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $21 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Use company box truck to make deliveries, including unloading products
- Receive the morning transfer truck and help unload products
- Sort and place products
- Load and secure products for delivery on the truck
- Verify the accuracy of paperwork for delivery
- Follow route and delivery protocols
- Comply with all DOT and company safety standards and regulations
- Use equipment to move products up to 75 lbs.
- Assist in the warehouse with preparing transfer orders as needed
- Provide outstanding service to customers
- Maintain a safe driving record free of violations
Job Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- At least 2 years of related work experience
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have a valid DOT medical card or be able to obtain one
- Warehouse experience
- Clean driving record
- Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including standing and/or sitting for long periods, getting in and out of truck, moving heavy items
- Strong communication skills
