Hamilton Connections is seeking a maintenance technician with industrial mechanical skills for the overnight shift at a manufacturing company Walden NY. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The hours are 5 p.m.-5 a.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $37 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of work in general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities and equipment
- Assist in construction, preventative, routine and breakdown maintenance
- Perform scheduled inspections and servicing of equipment
- Assist with completion of system modifications and improvement projects
- Repair, replace and/or fabrication of broken parts
- Perform maintenance on material handling equipment
- General grounds keeping and facility-related maintenance
- Document and report all maintenance repairs
- Repair any potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Must have maintenance mechanic experience
- Highly knowledgeable with hand and power tools
- Motivated, self-driven and innovative with the ability to work independently or with a team
- Have common sense, resourcefulness and a high level of critical thinking.
- Knowledge of welding, machine shop and use of PIV’s is a plus
- Ability to change shafts, bearings and gears a plus
- Must be able to adhere to company policy, safety rules and regulations, and wear PPE
