Hamilton Connections is seeking a maintenance electrician for the overnight shift at a manufacturing company Walden NY. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The hours are 5 p.m.-5 a.m., Monday-Friday. It’s a 60-hour work week with paid breaks. The salary is $28-$33 per hour, or more, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and pneumatic instrumentation systems using schematics, drawings and blueprints
- Perform preventative electrical maintenance
- Perform electrical installation of new plant equipment and processes, including routing of electrical cable or wire from current power sources
- Install, troubleshoot, repair and replace motor starters, variable frequency drives, fuses, light bulbs, circuit breakers, push buttons, electric switches and other electrical equipment
- Handle assigned preventative maintenance work orders and project work relating to modification, troubleshooting and installation of equipment
- Perform general shop maintenance
- Log all repairs
- Maintain electrical spare parts and order necessary equipment/parts for installations
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 5 or more years experience as an industrial electrician
- Able to work on voltages up to 480AC
- Able to use tools such as meters and voltage testing equipment
- Able to read schematics and ladder drawings
- Able to work independently and with a team.
- Must be able to adhere to company policy, safety rules and regulations, and wear PPE.
