Hamilton Connections is looking for a machinist for a manufacturing company in Danbury, CT. The machinist fabricates low-volume machined parts.
The hours are 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Pay is $25-$32 an hour/depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate machine tools in the fabrication and assembly of machined parts
- Operate and setup manual lathe, manual milling machine (Bridgeport), and wire EDM CNC lathe/2op milling machine
- Operate paint booth, sand-blaster and support equipment
- Operate MIG/TIG welding equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Assemble, fabricate, check and package sub-components/finished products
- Maintain stock levels of raw materials
- Coordinate work assignments to ensure efficiency
- Assist other machinists
- Basic SAP/LO transactions
- Perform regular maintenance of machines
- Temporary assignments as floater when needed
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Extensive machinist and programming experience within the manufacturing of tool and mold industry and/or aerospace industries
- Experience with manual lathes/miller, Bridgeport’s, CNC lathe/miller, wire EDM, welding equipment and support tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with Gibbs Cam software
- Experience with Fadal Milling and Fadal Machine Centers
- Computer skills
- Basic SAP/LO knowledge
- Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
