A well-established manufacturing company in Stratford is seeking a full-time Machine Operator to join our team.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $18–$20/hour, based on experience
We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to delivering top-quality work. A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate rewind inspection machines to convert large master rolls into finished, customer-ready rolls
Perform thorough visual inspections of labels to ensure high standards in print quality, alignment, die-cut accuracy, and overall presentation
Identify and flag/remove defective labels; document quality issues
Verify roll count, core size, and copy position per customer specifications
Apply core labels and job-specific identifiers
Maintain a clean and orderly workspace
Report production or quality concerns to supervisors or QA team
Assist with packaging rolls for shipment
Read and interpret customer prints and job travelers
Work cooperatively across departments as needed
Follow all company and quality procedures
Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional heavy lifting
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Prior experience with narrow web Flexographic Printing Press strongly preferred
Mechanical aptitude is a plus
Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively in a team setting
