Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a lean water spider position at a manufacturing company in Danbury CT. These are temp-to-hire positions.
The lean water spider ensures continuous material flow, maintains inventory accuracy, and assists with production readiness.
The hours are 3:30 p.m.-12 a.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $23 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure uninterrupted production flow by staging, delivering, and replenishing materials in a timely manner
- Perform material movements physically and electronically using scanners, WMS/EWM systems, and equipment
- Retrieve materials from warehouse or MRA induction to resolve production delays
- Return materials and completed items ensuring accurate system transactions
- Consolidate pallets and organize staging areas
- Supply pallets and materials to production areas
- Execute accurate component counts and perform inventory spot checks
- Prepare and stage work orders
- Open packaging for large orders, remove valves, and discard packaging material
- Perform simple assembly tasks and assist production projects as needed
- Generate labels using scanners, printers and PCs
- Maintain logs and documentation
- Perform spray booth maintenance and record activities
- Arrange repair for faulty equipment
- Dispose of scrap material per procedure
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks
- Able to follow company policies and safety procedures
- Able to handle physical aspect of the job, including lifting up to 44 lbs.
- Experience with or ability to learn WMS/EWM systems
- Computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Able to speak, read and write English
- Able to pass pre-employment screenings
