Hamilton Connections is currently recruiting for a Junior Process Engineer, for a growing manufacturing facility.
This position is ideal for someone with some related experience that is looking to expand their career or a recent college graduate with related Engineering degree, that is looking to get into the industry.
This opportunity is a full-time, first shift, direct-hire position.
Main responsibilities for the position include the following:
- Support manufacturing processes as needed to improve production efficiency and safety throughout the facility.
- Initiate and support continuous improvement initiatives - to reduce product waste and production downtime.
- Work closely with maintenance, production, quality control, and sanitation departments to improve processes.
- Develop, document, and improve SOPs, work instructions and process controls related to food safety and quality standards.
- Manage various other administrative tasks and documentation as required.
Requirements for the position include:
- Prior manufacturing knowledge, ideally related to food production or food safety.
- Knowledge of GMP's, HACCP, and/or SQF is strongly preferred.
- Engineering degree in related field - Chemistry, Mechanical, Industrial, etc. is required.
- Ability to multi-task and manage various priorities while working in a fast paced environment.
- Comfortable working on the production floor to oversee and improve all processes.
- The ability to pass a pre employment background and drug screening.
Starting salary: $65-$70k per year.
