Hamilton Connections is seeking 2nd shift Ink Coordinators at a printing company in Westfield, MA.
The hours are Monday through Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm. The rate of pay is $22.50 per hour. As an ink coordinator you will perform a broad range of technical tasks pertaining to daily ink room management and operation under the direction of the Press Manager.
Job responsibilities:
- Evaluate the schedule and current ink levels and order more ink as needed.
- Mix ink by following formulas, select calculations, use scales, add and mix ingredients and label containers.
- Check color quality of newly made inks to approved color standards by testing on required substrate.
- Clean ink mixing tools and equipment by hand, removing all traces of ink. Store cleaned tools.
- Be able to work around chemicals (inks) and their unique odors.
- Inspect returned inks from production.
- Have knowledge of basic computer operating.
- Assist in other areas of production as needed.
Job requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Good math and reading skills
- Experience working with ink
- Color matching ability and knowledge of inks
