A industrial processing facility in Shelton is looking for a Electromechanical Maintenance Technician.
1st shift (6:45 am- 3:15pm) and the pay range is $22-$35/ hour.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical repairs, including preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Diagnose and repair basic electrical issues (motors, electric furnace heaters, thermocouples).
- Maintain and repair vacuum furnace components, hot zones, manifold trains, and pumps.
- Conduct repairs on furnace insulation, brick, and control systems.
- Operate and maintain quench oil and brine recovery systems; manage waste and consumables.
- Perform welding, plasma cutting, and fabrication of replacement parts and production fixtures.
- Conduct pipefitting and support plant utility systems as needed.
- Support production personnel with equipment setup, shutdowns, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and enter work orders in the system.
- Monitor and document vacuum furnace fluids, waste by-product levels, and operating parameters.
- Perform visual inspections of plant equipment daily.
- Support spare parts inventory, PM supplies, and salt recovery operations.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with special tasks and maintenance programs.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum High School diploma or GED with or 2-Year Technical Degree or Equivalent Experience. Min 5 year in Manufacturing Industrial Maintenance is required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Forklift operation
Must be able to use deductive reasoning to analyze cause of system malfunction.
Knowledge of blueprint reading.
ERP system knowledge.
Crane operation
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Email.
Must have an aptitude for working with their hands.
Knowledge of shop mathematics
