Hamilton Connections is currently seeking candidates for an Extruder with a manufacturing company in North Haven. The ideal candidate has some manufacturing and Extruding experience coupled with steady, verifiable work history. For the right candidate this is a long-term job with the potential for temp to hire!
Job Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operate extruding machines
- Place a secure proper die into extruder head
- Change screen; adjust dye, temperature setting and feed and speed
- Disassemble dyes and operating mechanisms for proper machine cleaning
- Arrange raw material (PVC and other related material) feeding system
- Able to use gauges and other related measuring devices
- Able to use power tools safely and effectively to clean dyes and other operating mechanisms
- Ensure that equipment and machinery operate properly
- Report malfunctions and abnormal conditions to Supervisor.
- Check work in process for conformance to job specifications and quality standards
- Able to identify root cause of defected material and take corrective action
- Able to use hand truck and electrical material handling equipment
- Follow all plant safety rules and regulations
- Follow all proper housekeeping practices
- Dispose of all scrap and place in designated areas
- Perform other related duties as directed by Supervisor
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of extrusion and set-up experience
- High School Diploma
Hours:
Starting salary estimate: $17 - $20
