Hamilton Connections is recruiting for a Document Control Clerk for a locally owned manufacturing company in Durham, CT.
This is a temp to hire position on 1st shift.
Pay Range $17-$20/hr but could be more based on experience.
SUMMARY
Responsible for the collection, maintenance and distribution of all company controlled documents including those necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes that insure conformance to customer requirements. Maintains a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all documents to be retained in the document control center; manages the operation of the document control center to ensure that all users have the latest revision of appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
ï‚· Maintains accuracy of Master Document Files and Master Document List.
ï‚· Obtain proper approvals on all documentation and coordinate the issuance of documents to the appropriate functions within the organization on a timely basis.
ï‚· Files, reproduces, issues and retrieves documents as requested or required.
ï‚· Coordinate, in conjunction with the Quality Control Department, the appropriate distribution of Non-Conformance reports and maintenance of the Accounting Spreadsheets.
ï‚· Prepare revision comparison of customer supplied drawings and specifications.
ï‚· Maintains SDS documentation utilizing an SDS online account.
ï‚· Accurately maintain engineering files including job history and PPAP files.
ï‚· Maintains confidentially and security of all document files.
ï‚· Provide administrative support to the Engineering and Quality staff.
ï‚· Effectively fulfills administrative services as required (i.e., typing, photocopying, distribution, etc.)
ï‚· Process various engineering paper work as required or assigned.
ï‚· Maintain an organized, clean and safe work environment by following 6S standards.
ï‚· Properly follows all Company procedures and policies.
ï‚· Uses correct P.P.E. per JHA’s and job description.
ï‚· Participate in Continuous Improvement activities, including Idea System.
ï‚· Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
ï‚· Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with intermittent close supervision.
ï‚· High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ï‚· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence.
ï‚· Ability to do basic math in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
ï‚· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
