Hamilton Connections is looking for a carton expeditor for a manufacturing company in Sandy hook, CT. The carton expeditor’s primary responsibility is to supply cases and packing material to gluers. This is a temp-to-perm position.
The hours are 6 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $16 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Bring cases and paper to gluers
- Restock cases on gluers when low
- Make cases for upcoming jobs and put them into locations
- Unload corrugated trucks (ordered cases)
- Keep record of daily in and out activity on cases
- Logs activity into a location book and turn sheets into shipping office
- Maintain and change blades on expeditor and guillotine machines
- Communicate with finishing department and other shift expeditors
- Follow all safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Experience using material handling equipment, such as forklifts and hand trucks
- Able to be certified on forklift
- Communication skills
- Data entry skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
