Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a CNC lathe machinist position on the second shift at a manufacturing company in Bethel, CT. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The hours are 3:30 p.m.-12 a.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $20-$30 an hour, based on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Setup, maintenance and operation of Haas CNC turning centers
- Work with engineering to install and optimize new production programs and setups
- Maintain quality of all parts produced by continued machine side inspection during runs
- Deliver production jobs on time and within budget
- Review instructions to understand specifications of output
- Monitor machine while working to make necessary adjustments and identify issues
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC turning centers, primarily Haas, in a fast-paced production environment
- Assist less skilled operators to maintain production and quality standards
- Possess a good understanding of QA and/or manufacturing processes
- Proficient with measuring instruments and reading blueprints
- ISO/AS9100 experience a plus
- Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including standing for long periods and heavy lifting
- Able to work overtime when needed
- Able to pass pre-employment screenings
