Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for assembler positions at a manufacturing company in New Milford CT. These are temp-to-hire positions.
The hours are 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $18-$24 an hour, based on experience. Candidates with senior level and leadership experience will be considered at a higher rate.
- Perform basic to complex assembly operations according to established work instructions and standard work
- Read and follow basic assembly instructions, drawings, specifications, and procedures
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and other equipment required for assigned work
- Perform required in-process and final inspections
- Identify defects, abnormalities, or process issues and notify the appropriate lead or supervisor
- Assist less-experienced assemblers with routine technical questions when appropriate
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
- Properly handle materials, components, tools and finished products
- Complete required production and quality documentation accurately
- Meet established quality and productivity expectations as proficiency develops
- Participate in training and demonstrate willingness to learn additional assembly processes
- Work cooperatively with team members and accept coaching and feedback
- Demonstrate reliable attendance and professional work behavior
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Manufacturing and/or assembly experience
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn assembly processes
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and assembly drawings
- Ability to maintain attention to detail during repetitive work
- Ability to recognize and report quality concerns
- Ability to follow safety and quality requirements
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods
