Hamilton Connections is looking for an assembler for a manufacturing company in the Naugatuck area. Previous assembly experience a plus but not necessary. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The hours are 4 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $16.35 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform one or more repetitive operations on assembly line to mass-produce product line
- Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process
- Operate all manual and semi-automatic assembly machines and presses, as needed
- Package products for storage or shipment
- Apply flux and Tin Dipping connectors
- Continuously measure parts to ensure minimum production standards are met
- Examines parts, visually and mechanically, to ensure they are free from defects and report any non-conformance to supervisor
- Adhere to all foreign object debris cleaning standards in keeping parts, bins and benches free from dust particles
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Six months previous assembly experience preferred
- Must be capable of following directions and effectively communicating in English, both verbally and in writing
- Must be capable of reading blueprint drawings and process sheets to determine product specifications, properly assemble products, meet production standards and communicate problems with parts
- Experience in a related manufacturing or production environment
- Good eyesight and hand dexterity are necessary to distinguish details of parts and to handle minute parts for correct assembly
