Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for an assembler position on the third shift at a manufacturing company in Danbury, CT. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The hours are 10:30 p.m.-7 a.m., Sunday-Thursday. Training may be required on the first or second shift. The salary is $22.66 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately picking necessary parts for production orders
- Assemble, check and package sub-components and finished products according to instruction, production order, work and inspection instructions as well as drawings in a quality and schedule-minded fashion
- Perform computer and administrative work such as order printing and label creation
- Coordinate transport arrangements with shipping
- Mount items necessary for fulfilling assembly orders of sub-components and finished products
- Maintain order at the workplace, in the storage locations, and in rooms of general use
- Temporary assignments as floater in different assembly teams
- Cooperation within assembly team
- Coordinate work assignments
- Handle the more complex assemblies
- Backup line leader when needed
- Provide training for other assemblers
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 or more years of assembly experience
- Experience working overnight shift
- Mechanical ability necessary
- Able to work well in small team
- Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including heavy lifting
- Able to operate computers and electronic test equipment
- Able to handle time constraints and deadlines, and prioritize work
- Able to read and write English
- Able to pass pre-employment screenings
