Hamilton Connections is seeking a large valve assembler for the second shift for a manufacturing company in Danbury, CT. Assemblers work as part of a team to produce components for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The hours are 3:30 p.m.-12 a.m., Monday-Friday. The pay is $21.04 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick parts for production orders
- Assemble, check and package sub-components and finished products according to instruction
- Temporary assignments as floater in different assembly teams
- Perform computer and administrative work such as order printing and label creation
- Coordinate transport arrangements with shipping
- Mount items necessary for fulfilling assembly orders of sub-components and finished products
- Maintain order at the workplace, in the storage locations, and in rooms of general use
- Temporary assignments as floater in different assembly teams
- Cooperate as part of assembly team
- Priorities and arrange production papers and pick list based on commitment level to customers
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 or more years assembly experience
- Mechanical ability necessary
- Average manual dexterity
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to operate manufacturing and electronic test equipment
- Ability to read and write English
