Hamilton Connections is looking for an accountant at a company in Bridgeport, CT. The accountant is responsible for having a take charge attitude and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. Candidate should have a broad experience in accounting. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
The hours are 8am – 4:30pm, Monday-Thursday. Candidates should be flexible to come in earlier when needed. The salary is $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Familiarity with corporate structures(S Corp and C Corp)
- Stockholder communication
- Employee benefits including health insurance, FMLA, Payroll, HR
- Ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures
- Performing financial audits
- Collecting, tracking, and correcting the company’s finances
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 5yrs Experience Minimum
- Proficient MS Word, Office and Excel, Knowledge of QuickBooks, IT literate
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
