Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for an AV systems technician position at a company in Brookfield, CT. The job requires experience in disassembling, testing and repackaging audiovisual equipment. This is a temp-to-hire job.
The hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Salary is based on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload and put away incoming inventory items accurately and efficiently
- Organize and stage components on the disassembly line for efficient processing
- Unbox and inspect products for defects and damages, perform initial quality checks to streamline the disassembly process
- Perform power-on testing and download diagnostics reporting of products
- Disassemble and test parts using multimeter
- Repack individual parts using anti-static bags and label accurately and efficiently
- Maintain detailed documentation including serial numbers, part condition reports, test results and inventory logs, ensuring full traceability and quality assurance
- Pick and process orders accurately, organize stock and maintain warehouse inventory
- Prepare packaging of parts for shipment, ensuring timely and safe delivery to clients
- Utilize warehouse management system for all warehouse activities, print shipping labels and coordinate pick-up schedules
Job Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Proven experience in audiovisual systems and network infrastructure, with hands-on experience in testing and disassembly
- 2-3 years warehouse, production or repair technician experience
- Experience with multimeters and other diagnostic tools used for electrical testing
- Excellent documentation skills, with experience in maintaining inventory logs and quality reports
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to lift or move cases of products up to 50 lbs
- Able to sit or stand for long periods doing repetitive processes
- Punctual, reliable and detail-oriented
- Experience working with a WMS or ERP system
- Familiarity with Google Workplace and Microsoft Excel
- Good communicator with the ability to speak and understand English
- Knowledge of Sony AV1 modules preferred
- Ability to operate hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment preferred
- Familiarity with Salesforce preferred
