POSITION: Machine Operation/Maintenance

POSITION SUMMARY:
Interfacing with manufacturing and quality assurance teams, the Machine Operator/Maintenance is responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of production equipment, ensuring that all safety regulations are upheld while maintaining production standards and yields, and strictly adhering to applicable procedures while producing quality parts. This position acts with a rapid response to situations to meet production plans and is a valuable resource ensuring that the production process guarantees that company’s medical product meets quality expectations.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up machinery for operation.
- Start machinery and adjust machinery when necessary to improve performance.
- Operate machinery and equipment according to all applicable work instructions.
- Troubleshoot issues and perform the appropriate repairs as required to optimize production uptime.
- Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to the production leadership team.
- Comply with all safety and health regulations and assist in writing and/or editing JSA’s and SOP’s.
- Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area.
- Fill out daily paperwork with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintain spare parts inventory for all regularly maintained items.
- Maintenance of P.M. schedule on all equipment

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED, Technical education preferred.
- Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience (1-3 years)
- SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite.
- Experience using UPS or FEDEX shipping software.
- Experience in operating material handling equipment (pallet jack, skid wrap machine).
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Understanding of production and plant processes.
- Analytical and numerical skills: the ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement.
- Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary).
