Hamilton Connections is looking for a quality assurance manager, who is hands-on, for a metal manufacturing company in Danbury, CT. This is a temp-to-perm position.
The plant hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary range is $55,000-$75,000 a year, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that products adhere to quality standards
- Participate in new product development to ensure proper quality assurance
- Implement methods to measure, test and evaluate product
- Monitor quality testing and identifying gaps in the testing
- Work with suppliers to ensure quality of secondaries and supplies
- Determine validity of customer complaints via customer contact, blueprint interpretation and/or inspection of returned goods
- Develop job packages for press operators
- Maintain master files of customer prints
- Develop and maintain setup files as well as final inspection files for all customer part numbers
- Generate and maintain product qualification packages using GR&R, FAI, PPAP and IQOQPQ methodologies
- Interface with suppliers and customers on quality-related issues
- Maintain ISO9000 QMS system
- Generate and maintain quality procedures
- Use appropriate metrology techniques to measure and assure product conformance
- Generate and manage corrective action requests
- Supervise quality inspection personnel
- Perform calibration activities and management of the calibration system
- Generate and maintain job packages, set up files, final inspection files, customer provided documents.
- Complete and maintain customer surveys
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Quality assurance experience in manufacturing setting
- Supervisory experience
- Familiar with MRP/ERP systems
- Experience with metrology tools including geometric tolerance
- Understanding of SPC principles and use of Minitab software
- Understanding of GR&R principles
- Manufacturing experience
- Experience in QMS management
- Autocad experience a plus
- Quality engineering skills a plus
- Experience in qualification activities, such as PPAP development
- Communication skills
