Hamilton Connections is hiring a Forklift Operator for a busy plastics manufacturing company located in East Longmeadow, MA. We are looking for a skilled forklift operator to move products and materials around the facilities. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. The company is growing and looking to expand its logistics staff!
Evening Shift – $18/hr plus bi-weekly attendance bonus
12 hr shift (rotating 36 hr/48 hr/36 hr/48 hr) 6:45 pm - 7:15 am
Responsibilities
- Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
- Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
Skills
- Proven experience as forklift operator
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Excellent physical condition and coordination
Job Duties:
- Load and unload trucks
- Move and stack materials
- Keep production lines supplied with empty containers and packaging materials as needed
- General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned
- Follow current good warehousing practice
- Perform proper forklift inspections and follow forklift operating guidelines and procedures
